The final episode (episode 130) of the NHK Asadora drama series "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and other times), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on September 26th, bringing to a close the story of the married couple Nobu (Imada) and Takashi ( Takumi Kitamura). Five years have passed, and Nobu is doing well, as if he had been completely cured of his illness. As the couple was being interviewed, a reporter asked, "What kind of person is the doctor?" Nobu replied, "He is a kind person at heart. Towards plants, living things, and people." "It's not just that he's kind. He's a little bit outside the norm. He has a tendency to not even kill an insect."
The scene changes to Nobu reading Anpanman to the children. Then Taku arrives, and the children gather around him, shouting, "It's Anpanman's teacher!" Taku says, "Thank you everyone for loving Anpanman," and sings "Anpanman March" with the children. Nobu watches them and murmurs, "Anpanman, you're such a kind person, go and protect everyone's dreams," before smiling with tears in his eyes.
The backs of Nobu and Taka are seen walking side by side. Nobu says, "Taka is our Anpanman," and the two walk hand in hand. The camera then turns to the sky, where a cloud in the shape of Anpanman is floating. After narrator Risa Hayashida narrates, "Anpanman is flying somewhere in the sky today as well," the story of "Anpan" comes to a close with Nobu and Taka saying, "Let's go."
