Voice actor Kikunosuke Toya , known for his role as Denji, the protagonist of the anime " Chainsaw Man ," based on the popular manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto , will appear in the November issue of women's fashion magazine "Oggi" (Shogakukan), which goes on sale on September 27th. Toya will appear in the magazine's serial "Mimikoi: I Want to Hear the Voice of My Favorite," which features original photos of popular voice actors, dressed in the latest fashions and showing off his mature sexiness and refreshing smile.
In the interview, Toya spoke about his thorough commitment to character development. "If it's just a formality, it won't feel like I've done my best, and I don't think it will get across to the audience, and I wouldn't be satisfied with it either. For example, I would try to get into the same position as the character, or say my lines while eating the same thing...I even made and ate the 'best bread' that Denji eats in the film and says is 'delicious!'"
He revealed that during a battle scene, he once tried slamming his back into a wall, saying, "I like thinking about the 'real thing', like how even if it's just my back that's hit, the impact reaches my chest, or what kind of voice I might make." He continued, "During the recording of the TV anime ' Chainsaw Man,' I spent the whole week thinking about the work (laughs). Even if I think, 'Do I really have to go that far?', I get the urge to do it if I think there might be a hint there."
In the interview, he also shares some surprising anecdotes, such as how he once dreamed of becoming a comedian, and how he still writes his own material and performs it at events.
