It has been announced that the second round of the theater seat-jacking project for the new Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Yaiba the Movie: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1 - Akaza Returns, an anime adaptation of the popular manga by Koyoharu Gotouge Gotouge, will be held at AEON Cinema Shin Rifu (Miyagi County, Miyagi Prefecture) and eight other theaters nationwide from September 26th. The project involves randomly placing seat covers featuring each of the 12 Demon Slaying Corps members on every seat in one screen, and a welcome announcement from Tanjiro Kamado will also be broadcast. The first round was held at 33 theaters nationwide from July 18th.
It was also announced that a large advertisement called "Akaza's Compass Floor Advertisement," which is based on the deployment of Akaza's magic techniques from the series, will appear at the event "KYOMAF 2025," which will be held on September 20th and 21st. The advertisement is currently being displayed at terminal stations in Tokyo, Sendai, Osaka, and Fukuoka, and will also be displayed at theaters in Kanagawa, Chiba, Kyoto, and Hyogo, in addition to "KYOMAF 2025."
The first part of the "Infinity Castle Arc, "Chapter 1: Akaza Returns," was released on July 18th in 452 theaters, surpassing "Mugen Train." The film has a running time of 155 minutes. It has been a huge hit, grossing 33 billion yen and attracting over 23.04 million viewers in the 60 days since its release.
"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is based on a manga by Koyoharu Gotouge. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, whose family was killed by demons, as he joins the Demon Slaying Corps in order to turn his sister Nezuko, who has turned into a demon, back into a human. The original manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. The total number of copies of the comics sold worldwide is over 220 million.
