Ahead of the broadcast of episode 22, "Cluster Disasters," of the anime " Kaiju No. 8 ," which is based on the popular manga by Naoya Matsumoto that was serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump +," a trailer for the "Cluster Disasters Arc" has been released on YouTube.
Episode 21, which aired on September 13th, depicted the defense force's top brass struggling to deal with an unsolved monster incident. The emergence of highly intelligent monsters was not limited to Tokyo, but was occurring nationwide. The trailer for the "Swarm Disaster Arc" showed the Japan Defense Force uniting together across unit boundaries to confront an unprecedented cluster of disasters. The elite members of the Japan Defense Force, including Gen Narumi, who controls the monster weapon (Numbers) 1; Kikoru Shinomiya, who controls Numbers 4; Soshiro Hoshina, who controls Numbers 10; and Mina Ashiro, who controls the anti-large monster fixed electromagnetic gun "Keraunos," will join forces to confront the approaching monsters.
"Kaiju No. 8" began serialization in "Shonen Jump+" in July 2020, with its final episode airing on July 18th. Set in Japan, a monster superpower where monsters mercilessly invade everyday life, the story follows the exploits of protagonist Kafka Hibino, whose body is transformed into a monster by a mysterious creature. It also garnered attention when it was selected as the Grand Prize winner in the Web Manga category of the "Next Manga Awards 2021." The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2024. The second season is currently airing every Saturday at 11:00 PM on TV Tokyo.
