TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appear! Ad Street Heaven" (Saturdays at 9pm) will feature Yokohama Motomachi, home to the "Yokohama Brand" shopping street, on its September 13th broadcast.
The Charming Sale will be held in Yokohama Motomachi for nine days from September 20th, with discount sales and other offers. In addition to information on the great deals at the Charming Sale, the program will introduce a 94-year-old custom-made women's clothing store that is still in business, a long-established men's button-down clothing store, a lace specialty store popular for its limited edition patterned handkerchiefs, and Yokohama Furniture, a store that has developed a unique style of Western furniture making.
In addition, there will be gourmet food such as iced coffee with a shockingly huge ice cube, an oden bar that stands out in the Western-style town, and popular croissant sandwiches. The show will also feature the big three that led the "Hamatora" boom, and the first "town commercial" in 30 years.
The guests are Ken Yokoyama, vocalist and composer of the Crazy Ken Band, and freelance announcer Aika Kanda.
