The second promotional video for the original TV anime "Eternal Yugure," produced by PAWORKS, the animation production company behind "true tears" and "SHIROBAKO," has been released on YouTube. The video focuses on key points in the story and the adventures of the protagonist, Akira Himegami, and his friends in the future world. It was also announced that singer-songwriter Hana Hope will be in charge of the ending theme, "Two Of Us," and the song was unveiled in the promotional video.
The second trailer depicts a scene in which Akira suspects that there may be a connection between Towasa and the android Yugure, after the android Yugure finds a ring that Akira once gave to his beloved lover, Ou Maki Towasa. When Akira asks about their relationship, Yugure evades the question by saying it's "forbidden," and Towasa sends a cryptic message saying, "Don't ever look for me," as well as the ominous phrase "AI war."
Hana Hope commented, "'Two Of Us' is a love story, but it also asks the question, 'What is right?' I created this song with the intention of adding color to the world of the TV anime 'Eternal Yugure.' I would be happy if it could empathize with people who live their lives feeling a little uncomfortable with the societal value that 'this is what is right.'"
"Eternal Yugure" is a full-fledged love story set in a future world where AI technology has advanced. The protagonist, Himegami Akira, who has pledged his love to his beloved, Ou Maki Towasa, wakes up from years of cold sleep to find a city devastated by war. An android named Yugure, who bears a striking resemblance to Towasa, appears before Akira and they decide to travel together.
The cast includes Shuichiro Umeda as Himegami Akira, Ishikawa Yui as Yugure, and Ai Kayano as Ou Maki Towasa. Episode 0 will air on MBS/TBS's late-night anime slot "Super Animeism TURBO" on September 25th, with episode 1 starting on October 2nd. It has also been announced that the series will air on BS Nippon Television every Tuesday at 12:30am from September 30th, and on AT-X every Friday at 10:30pm from September 26th. It will be available on various streaming sites every Thursday at 12:56am from September 25th.
