On August 31st, it was announced that the third season of the Gege Akutami Jujutsu Kaisen TV anime, based on the popular manga by Gege Akutami, titled "Culling Game Part 1," will be broadcast in January 2026. It was also revealed that the " Jujutsu Kaisen: Shibuya Incident Special Edition" and "Culling Game Advance Screening" will be screened from November 7th. In addition to the special edition of the second season, "Shibuya Incident," the first and second episodes of the third season, "Culling Game," will be screened in advance.
On September 1st, it was announced that to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the popular anime series "Evangelion," six films, including "Neon Genesis Evangelion Evangelion: 1.0 You Can (Not) Redo," will be shown for a limited time starting in October. Titled "Monthly Eva EVANGELION 30th MOVIE Fest. 2025-2026," one film will be screened for one week each month between October and February 2026. Two films will be screened in October.

The movie's momentum is unstoppable, with audience numbers exceeding 21.1 million.
On the 1st, it was announced that a new TV anime series, "Magical Girl Raising Project Restart," based on the light novel "Magical Girl Raising Project" from the "This Light Novel is Amazing!" Bunko (Takarajimasha) series, will be broadcast in 2026. This will be the first new TV anime in about 10 years since the TV anime aired from October to December 2016.

On the 3rd, it was revealed that the box office revenue for the animated film "Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-," based on the character rap project "Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-," has surpassed 2 billion yen. On the 3rd, it was revealed that singer Shigeru Matsuzaki will be singing the opening theme "Wanna be" for the TV anime "Tojima Tanzaburo wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai ," which is based on the manga by Yokusaru Shibata, who is known for works such as "Hachi-One Diver." Matsuzaki will sing the chorus of the opening under the name "TeddyLoid feat. Shigeru Matsuzaki & TOPHAMHAT-KYO."

This is the first time a Gunpla model of this machine has been released, and pre-orders began on the same day on Bandai Namco Group's shopping site, Premium Bandai, where it quickly sold out, proving to be extremely popular.
On the 4th, it was announced that the popular Korean manga "One Day I Became a Princess" will be adapted into a TV anime, with the Japanese dubbed version set to air from October 1st. It will be released in advance on September 28th. The original is a popular work with a total of 200 million page views in the streaming version and over 2.2 million copies of the comics in print, and the anime will be produced by China's iQiyi.
On the 4th, a trailer for the 4K remastered version of "Angel's Egg," the legendary OVA (original video animation) directed by Mamoru Oshii and released in 1985, was released on YouTube. Fujio , will be " Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the Castle of Nobita's Rock Under the Sea," and that it will be released in 2026.
