With the sixth season of the TV anime "Kingdom," based on the popular manga by Hara Yasuhisa, set to air on NHK General TV from October 4th, a total of six videos looking back on seasons 1 to 5 have been released on YouTube.
There will be six episodes in total: "Recapture of the Capital", a digest of episodes 1 to 15 of the first series about the recapture of the capital; "Inheritance of the Will", a digest of episodes 16 to 38 of the first series; "The Young General in Action", a digest of the second series; "Invasion of the Six Nations", a digest of the third series; "The King's Crown", a digest of the fourth series; and "The Cruel and Evil", a digest of the fifth series.
"Kingdom" is a popular manga that has been serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) since 2006. Set in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period of China, it depicts the exploits of Shin, who aims to become the greatest general in the world, as well as the drama of heroes such as King Ei Sei of Qin, who later becomes known as the First Emperor. The total number of copies of the comics published has exceeded 110 million.
The first series of the TV anime aired from June 2012 to February 2013, the second series from June 2013 to March 2014, the third series from April to October 2021, the fourth series from April to October 2022, and the fifth series from January to March 2024.
In the sixth series, Shin, who has grown as a warrior, takes up the spear entrusted to him by Ou Ki and decides to enter into an all-out war with Zhao.
