Gundam EXVS.2 IB Red Gundam joins the battle

It has been revealed that the red Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX will be joining the arcade game Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Versus 2 Infinite Boost (EXVS.2 IB), based on the popular anime Gundam series.

The red Gundam is a 2000-cost all-purpose melee-focused unit that works in tandem with "Mav's" GQuuuuuuX to sneak into enemy positions and launch pincer attacks. Its sub-range is to fire two bits while moving and charge towards the enemy. Its special ranged attack is to summon GQuuuuuuX, piloted by Machu, and use MAV tactics on the enemy. Its special melee attack is to throw a hammer.

It was also announced that a national tournament, "Mobile Suit Gundam EXVS.2 IB TOKYO Showdown," will be held to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the "EXVS." series. After online preliminaries, the final will be held on March 22, 2026.
