Satomi Ishihara to appear in Kao's new "Humming Flare" TV commercial

A new TV commercial for fabric softener "Humming Flare" starring actress Satomi Ishihara will begin airing nationwide from August 25th.

The commercial depicts Ishihara going out in her favorite clothes, and how she coolly performs her job while also revealing her charming side. It also includes a scene of Ishihara beaming with joy in a vast flower garden recreated in the studio using approximately 8,000 ikebana flowers, inspired by the scent of Humming Flare.

In the interview, she revealed that she has "powered up" by combining the product, saying, "I make lunch boxes for my children every day, and I've gotten so fast that I can make them almost without looking (laughs). I put some frozen items back in the fridge for myself the next morning, or organize them so that they're easy to microwave, and thanks to that hard work I put in the day before, the next day I can make lunch boxes so quickly that I can make them almost without looking, even when I'm half asleep. I feel like I've grown as a person."

When asked what she thinks makes a "cool woman," Ishihara replied, "I have an older friend who I've known for over 10 years, and she's even more beautiful than when we first met. My friend started learning Pilates and classical ballet, and she always has great posture. She wears sophisticated clothes, has good posture, and I think women who are positive and dignified are really wonderful. She's my closest friend, and I really respect her. I think people who continue to update themselves as they get older, and who can bring out the best of themselves at the time, are cool."
