Bandai will release a toy called "Shinkenmaru -MEMORIAL EDITION-" of Shinkenmaru, a weapon that appears in the Super Sentai series "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger" broadcast from 2009 to 2010. The "MEMORIAL EDITION" has additional specifications from the DX version. The price is 33,000 yen.
Shinkenmaru has been made into a three-dimensional figure with a total length of approximately 80 cm, which is larger than the DX version. The balance of the blade has been revised to achieve proportions closer to those in the movie. The paint has also been renewed to express the details of the surface. The six included secret disks have been newly sculpted to match the increased size of Shinkenmaru, making them closer to the image in the movie. The gimmick for detecting the rotation of the secret disks has also been revised to achieve smoother rotation with less interference between parts.
In addition to the sound of inserting the Hiden Disc and the sound of unsheathing the sword, various sound effects tailored to each character are included, such as the sound of carrying Shinkenmaru on one's shoulder, the sound of stroking the blade, and the sound of a wooden clapper. Pressing the trigger activates the sound of a sword attack, and the rotation of the Hiden Disc activates the sounds of each character's special moves, such as "Shinkenmaru Flame Dance," and combined special moves. A new control button has been added to the end of the handle, allowing you to recreate the experience of controlling the giant robot Shinken-Oh. Shinken-Oh's special move, "Dai Shinken Samurai Slash," can also be activated by rotating the Hiden Disc.
When you press the BGM button, the theme songs "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger" (TV size), "Fight! Shinkenger" (short version), and "One Line Presentation!" will play.
Reservations will be accepted from 4:00 pm on July 25th on Bandai Namco Group's official shopping site, Premium Bandai. Shipment is scheduled for February 2026.
