Yoko Minamino, a 58-year-old singer and actor, will appear on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko no Heya" (TV Asahi), broadcasting on July 24th at 1pm. She made her debut in June 1985, her 18th birthday, and this year marks her 40th anniversary. She first appeared on the show when she was 20 years old. She will look back on her idol days while watching nostalgic footage. She will have a lively conversation with Kuroyanagi, who has known Minamino since her debut.
His hobby is mountain climbing. He first attempted to climb Mt. Fuji in his late 30s. He says that while climbing, he sorts out his daily worries in his head. He also asks himself questions in his daily life, which he calls "one-man press conferences."
He says that he was a "daddy's girl" from an early age. When he moved to Tokyo, his family and friends came to see him off, but when he arrived at his new home in Tokyo, his father was there too. After his mother passed away, he invited his father to Tokyo and lived with him. They were both too considerate of each other, which sometimes led to arguments. Soon after, his father entered a facility in Hakone, and they were able to spend time together at a comfortable distance. He says that he was able to see his father off without any regrets when he passed away three years ago.
