The 15th Satellite Broadcasting Association Original Program Awards ceremony, which recognizes outstanding programs, topical programming plans, program promotions, and advertising examples, was held in Tokyo on July 23rd. Nobuko Miyamoto, who appeared in the NHK BS special drama "Mother's Waiting Village," which won the Grand Prix, smiled and said, "I'm happy! I'm very happy!"
Miyamoto said with a smile, "It makes me really happy to receive praise. Today is the best. Thank you very much!"
Original author Asada Jiro said, "I love television and I love dramas, and I watch TV for five or six hours a day. I am happy and honored that Mother is Waiting has been recognized."
The awards were established in 2011 with the aim of introducing excellent original programs produced by member companies of the Satellite Broadcasting Association to a large audience and raising awareness of the appeal of pay and multi-channel broadcasting.
