It has been announced that a new original anime series, "Glow Up Show: Sunflower Circus," by A-1 Pictures and Psyde Kick Studio, will be produced and "open" in 2026. Kamei Kanta, known for the anime series "How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend," will serve as director, while Misaki Kurehito, who is responsible for the original illustrations for the series, will be in charge of character design. Kikuchi Takeshi, known for "Skeleton Knight in Another World," will be in charge of series composition and scriptwriting. Aniplex announced that they would be releasing information about a mysterious new original anime at 6pm on July 14th, "Sunflower Day," which caused quite a stir, and now the title and staff have been revealed.
A teaser visual drawn by Fukasaki was also released. It depicts a girl surrounded by familiar circus motifs such as juggling, ball juggling, and trapeze. A promotional video using the same visual was also released on YouTube.
