Singer-songwriter BONNIE PINK will appear on the music program "The Covers" broadcast on NHK BS and BS Premium 4K from 10:50 pm on July 13th. This will be the first time that BONNIE PINK, who is celebrating her 30th anniversary since her debut this year, will appear on the program. She will perform a rare performance, singing for the first time in 11 years on an NHK program.
BONNIE PINK debuted in 1995. She then made her breakthrough with the single "Heaven's Kitchen," produced with Tore Johansson, the producer who led the Swedish pop boom. Her innovative musical sense and lyrics skillfully using English, which set her apart from the pop rock scene up to that point, established her as a new female singer and songwriter.
In 2006, their single "A Perfect Sky" became a big hit, and they made their debut on the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. On this show, they will perform their big hits "Heaven's Kitchen" and "A Perfect Sky," as well as their cover of NOKKO's song "Ningyo" for the first time.
In addition, we will explore BONNIE PINK's musical roots and introduce classic songs by unique rock muses who have been leading the music scene since the mid-1990s and continue to be active.
