The cast of the film " Koi ni itaru yamai " (directed by Hiroki Ryuichi, to be released on October 24th), co-starring popular group " Naniwa Danshi" member Kento Nagao and actress Anna Yamada Anna, has been announced, revealing that the cast will include Daigo Kotaro, Imoto Ayaka, Takeyuki Mayumi from the popular group "AmBitious", and Atsuko Maeda.

The original work is Yuki Shasendo's novel "Koi ni itaru yamai" (Media Works Bunko/KADOKAWA), which has been reprinted more than 30 times and has had over 2 million views of its introductory video on a TikTok book account. The story revolves around the awkward and sincere first love between shy high school boy Miyamine Nozomu, played by Nagao, and popular classmate Yorikawa Kei, played by Yamada, and is intertwined with the suspicious death of a classmate, a suicide attempt, and frightening suspicions about a lover. It is billed as "this fall's purest and most exciting love story."

Daigo, Imoto and Mayumi will play students attending the same high school as Miyamine and Kei, playing the roles of Nezuhara Akira, Ozeki Hana and Ide Shota, respectively. In addition, Nakai Tomomi (Zenna Mikuri), Tsubasa Nakagawa(Kimura Tamio), Uehara Amane (Ono Emi) and Kobayashi Momoko (Hyouyama Mana) will also appear as classmates. Maeda will play Irimi Touko, a detective investigating a series of suspicious deaths that occur around Miyamine and Kei, while Oshinari Shugo and Kawai Aoba will play Miyamine's parents.

The official trailer and poster visuals have also been released. The trailer begins with Kei telling Miyamine, "Let's keep this a secret between the two of us. The person who killed Nezuhara is..." and they look into each other's eyes. After depicting the two's awkward and earnest first love, the body of Nezuhara, a classmate played by Daigo, is discovered in the neighborhood. After Nezuhara's death, a series of suspicious incidents occur, and the classmates are shown in a state of chaos along with keywords such as "mind control," "rooftop," "scar," "blue butterfly," and "series of suspicious deaths." The trailer also includes a scene in which Detective Irimi (Maeda), who is investigating the series of suspicious deaths, admonishes Miyamine, saying, "You should wake up already," as well as footage that hints at the "too heartbreaking final four minutes."
