It has been announced that Hisamakumako's four-panel manga "One Tatami Room Full of Life!", which is currently being serialized in "Manga Time Kirara" (Houbunsha), will be adapted into a TV anime. The announcement was made in the August issue of the magazine, which went on sale on July Getsuku.
The story is about Morita Meiko, who moves from the countryside to Tokyo to transfer to a school for rich girls, and ends up working and living in a manga cafe that also serves as a girls' dormitory, in exchange for the condition that her tuition is free if she does volunteer work. Many cute staff members appear, including Amamiya Rie, the dormitory manager and manager of Hedgehog manga cafe, Suzuki Marika, the popular streamer, and Nakano Otoo, who looks cute but is a serious gamer. The latest volume 4 of the comic will be released on July 26th.
Original author Hisamakumako commented, "It has been decided that 'One Tatami Room Full of Life!' will be made into an anime! It is all thanks to all of you who always support us! Thank you so much! And to everyone who believed in an anime adaptation and waited, apologies for the long wait!! I am overjoyed to be able to announce this today!! Working together with the wonderful staff, we are doing our best to deliver an enjoyable series. We hope you will continue to watch over Meiko and the others with kindness. Thank you very much!"
