The first episode of "Turkey!", an original anime set in Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture, was broadcast on Nippon Television late at night on July 8th, revealing the "core of the story." Prior to the broadcast of the first episode, it was said to be an anime featuring five high school girls from a bowling club, but in the first episode, when Otonashi Mai is challenged to a bowling match by Godai Rina, the bowling ball suddenly begins to glow, and the five club members are transported back in time to the Sengoku period... a shocking development was depicted. The work is said to be a "bowling x time travel" anime that depicts the interactions and youth of the five members of the bowling club at Ikkokukan High School in Nagano Prefecture who have traveled back in time to the Sengoku period, and the members of the Tokura family they meet there.
The second promotional video and third key visual, which depict the core of the story that was not revealed until the first episode, have been released. The visual is accompanied by the copy, "Let's all go home together."
It was also revealed that additional cast members will include a star-studded cast of voice actors, including Noriko Hidaka as Sumomo, Kikuko Inoue Yuko as Akebi, Inoue Kikuko as Suguri, Ito Miki as Anzu, and Rei Sakuma as Natsume.
Noriko Hidaka, who plays Kotobuki Momo, commented, "I can't believe I got to play a princess from the Warring States period! What's more, the sisters are played by close friends of the same generation, so the recording was a lot of fun. I hope everyone can watch as the princesses and the high school girls grow closer to each other."
Minaguchi, who plays Shuka, said, "I was looking forward to the start of the broadcast of 'Turkey!'. I want many people to see the story of these dazzlingly straightforward girls. I am very, very happy to have been able to take part in this production as Shuka."
Inoue, who plays Keiri, said, "I feel humbled to be taking on the role of the dignified sword-wielding Keiri. I was moved many times by the amazing story and brilliance, the bonds that transcend the ages, and the heartbreaking emotions! It's such a wonderful work, so I hope you will watch it until the end!!"
Ito, who plays Anju, commented, "I was able to be involved in such a wonderful production. It's a tale of the end of summer that's ticklish, sad, thrilling, and anxious, but also very warm. I hope you enjoy watching the adventures of these charming girls!"
Sakuma, who plays Natsumu, said, "The story unfolds in ways far beyond my imagination, and I think I'll become more and more drawn in with each episode. The work is an original anime created jointly by Tatsunoko Productions' label "BAKKEN RECORD" and Pony Canyon. It is directed by Susumu Kudo and written by Naomi Hiruta, who has worked on dramas such as "This is Not an Expense!" and "In a World Where It's Neither Black nor White, a Panda Smiles."Hana Hishikawa, Kana Ichinose, Hiyori Iwata, Yuuki Amano, and Ayasa Ito will play the five high school girls in the bowling club.
