The 25th episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , titled "A Rain of Ashes Falls on Nihonbashi", will be broadcast on June 29th. Comedian Maruyama Rei will appear in the episode as Toku, the wife of Tsutaju's (Yokohama) brother-in-law Jirobei (Nakamura Aoi).
Also in the episode, actor Shiori Tamada will appear as Wakanami, a prostitute from Yoshiwara who seduces Ichi (Hio Miyazawa). Photos of each of the characters in costume have also been released.
"UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama and depicts the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have laid the foundations for Japan's media industry and pop culture.
In episode 25, Tsutaju buys Maruya from Kashiwaraya and gets Ichi's cooperation in opening a store in Nihonbashi in exchange for the "pilfering diagram" owned by Subaraya (Kotaro Satomi).
Meanwhile, ashes fall on Edo as well due to the great eruption of Mount Asama. Tsutaju works hard to remove the ash from Toyu-cho. His efforts stir Teitei (AI Hashimoto), who had been turned away from him. Meanwhile, Ichi begins to fall in love with Daresode (Haruka Fukuhara)... and so the story unfolds.
