The 62nd episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and others) was broadcast on June 24th, and viewers were drawn to the true feelings of Shin ( Himari Hitomi), the maid of the Yanai family.
In the 61st episode (broadcast on June 23rd), Takashi (Takumi Kitamura) returns to Gomenyocho wearing a military uniform and scruffy beard. Shin sees Takashi at the front door of the Yanai house and brings Chiyoko (Naho Toda) home, saying, "Ma'am...Ma'am!" Chiyoko bows down and says, "Thank you for all your hard work," then stands up and runs to Takashi, embracing him and saying, "Welcome back."
When Takashi asks, "Auntie... what about Chihiro (played by Motoki Nakazawa)?" Chiyoko's face clouds over and she remains silent, bowing her head. The scene changes to show a portrait of Chihiro. There are no remains of Chihiro in the urn, only a small memorial tablet.
Taku says that when he was starving to death on the battlefield, he had a dream about his late father, Kiyoshi (Kazunari Ninomiya), and despairs, saying, "I wonder why. Dad should have protected Chihiro, who was much better than me. I wish it had been Chihiro who came back alive, not me."
Chiyoko tearfully pleaded, "Taka-san, if you say something like that, your father and uncle Hiroshi (Yutaka Takenouchi) will scold you!" Then, Shin cried and confessed, "I want to go back. I want to go back to the time when Hiroshi-sensei drank alcohol, and his wife, Taka-san, and Chihiro-san laughed together."
Comments on social media included, "Oshinchan's words pierced my heart," "Shinchan's words carry weight only because she has been watching over the Yanai family for a long time," "It makes my heart ache. After all, everyone was happy back then," "Both my aunt and Oshinchan are really nice people," "Her quiet, realistic acting made me cry in the morning, and I still cry when I think about it," and "It was a time when tragedies like this happened everywhere."
