To commemorate the broadcast of the TV anime " Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus " (Dengeki Bunko), it has been announced that a large-scale collaboration will be held in the Shonan area, where the work is set.
Posters with "Fujisawa original illustrations" and the catchphrase "Let's go to Enoshima" will be displayed throughout Fujisawa city, along with banners featuring nine different characters. It was also announced that the heroine, Sakurajima Mai, has been appointed the PR ambassador for the Shonan Fujisawa Film Commission in 2025, and a digital stamp rally will be held in Fujisawa city from June 27th to August 31st. Some of the exhibits from the "Aobuta Exhibition" will be set up on the 5th and 7th floors of ODAKYU Shonan GATE, and a pop-up shop will open at the Bic Camera Fujisawa store, among other collaborations.
The " Rascal Does Not Dream Senpai" series is a light novel written by Kamoshida Hajime and illustrated by Mizoguchi Cage. It depicts the love story between Azusagawa Sakuta, an outcast at school, and Sakurajima Mai, an upperclassman and actress. The keyword is "puberty syndrome," which occurs during adolescence. The total number of copies of the original work published is over 3 million.
The TV anime series "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai" aired from October to December 2018. The movie version of the anime series "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl" was released in June 2019, followed by "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out" on June 23, 2023, and "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid" on December 1 of the same year. "Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus" will air on TOKYO MX and other stations from July 5.
