It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime "Nmeneko", based on the manga by creator Shirimoto, will begin airing on TBS on July 3rd. The second season will begin following the first season, which has been airing since April. The second season will feature episodes that evoke the feeling of summer, as well as original episodes that are not in the original work.
It was also announced that a collaboration cafe for the series, "Nmeido CAFE," will open on June 27th at Branch Park, a restaurant produced by the TBS program "King's Brunch." In addition to recreating Nmeneko's favorite dish, compote rice, the cafe will also display original illustrations by Shirimoto.
"Nmeneko" is a manga that depicts the funny daily lives of cats who live a leisurely life, wanting to do only fun things. The anime will be directed by Tommy Hino and produced by Kumarba. Megumi Han, and Hiro Shimono will play Usukuro.
