On June 11th, it was announced that the second installment of the hit live-action film "Mr. Osomatsu " (2022), starring the popular group "Snow Man", will be made into a movie. The film will star six actors: Seiya Suezawa, Yoshinori Masakado , Ken Kojima, and Keita Kusama Richard from " Ae! group ", and Takuya Nishimura from Kansai Junior. It is scheduled to be released in the New Year of 2026.
" Mr. Osomatsu" is an anime based on Fujio Akatsuka's comedy manga "Osomatsu kun," and was produced in 2015 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Akatsuka's birth. It depicts the daily lives of sextuplets in their twenties who are trash and NEETs, but somehow lovable.
The second live-action film will be directed by Kawamura Taisuke, who made his directorial debut with "Nodame Cantabile" (2010) and has worked on "Love Song: The Promised Neverland" (2019), among others. The script will be written by Takuma Takayuki, who has appeared in many dramas and films as an actor and is also active as a screenwriter and director.
Suezawa will Osomatsu, Masakado will Karamatsu, Sano will Choromatsu, Kojima will Ichimatsu, Kusama will Jyushimatsu, and Nishimura will play Todomatsu. All six are from Kansai. A special video will be released on the Ae! group 's official YouTube channel from noon on the 11th.

◇ Seiya Suezawa(Osomatsu, the Osomatsu son)
First of all, I'm honored that " Mr. Osomatsu " is the first movie that Ae! group will star in. It has a strong comedy element, so I'm looking forward to filming, as I think it will be a production that will fully show Ae! group's sense of tempo and friendship that we have on a daily basis. Nishimura will also be participating as Todomatsu, the youngest of the sextuplets. Although he is a junior, I hope he will enjoy himself to the fullest as one of the sextuplets. I would like to take the baton from Snow Man and make it a newer, more fun, and more energetic production. There are wonderful cast members, and I am happy to be involved in this production as Osomatsu, so please enjoy the new "Mr. Osomatsu" at the theater!

To tell the truth, wanting to act in a video with all the members of Ae! group has been a secret dream we've been talking about ever since we were juniors. I think this work has memories and affection for people of all generations, from "Osomatsu kun" to "Mr. Osomatsu ." That's why we feel a lot of pressure, but we want to enjoy this Mr. Osomatsu to the fullest as the six of us, Ae! group and Kansai Junior Nishimura Takuya, do our best. And since we're doing it after all... let's aim to surpass Snow Man!!! Let's do it! Please look forward to the second installment of Mr. Osomatsu!
◇ Akiya Sano (third son, Choromatsu)
Following Snow Man, we're going to be in a live-action version? I was surprised when I first heard about it, but all my worries disappeared after we all laughed and read the script together. We are six Kansai people who are great at joking around seriously. Mr. Osomatsu played by Ae... doesn't it sound interesting? And if you add an element that Ae doesn't have, the cute, cute Nishimura Takuya... isn't it just perfect? We will film with love for the work and characters so that you can immerse yourself in the Osomatsu world with peace of mind. The sextuplets will work together and do their best to deliver something even more powerful!
◇Ken Kojima (voice of the fourth son, Ichimatsu)
This time , Ae! group and Nishimura Takuya will star in the movie Mr. Osomatsu, and I'm really looking forward to it. Ae has been doing a program where they performed one play a month for about four years, so I felt a bit nostalgic when we read the script. This is the first time I've acted with Nishimura, but I think that by having him work with Ae, it will have a different feel to it than before, so I'm looking forward to the chemistry. It's the second installment, and I want to enjoy acting with a sense of tempo and vibe that only we who grew up in Kansai can have.
◇Keita Kusama Richard (voice of the fifth son, Jyushimatsu)
I watched the anime to prepare for my role this time, and I really liked the surreal feel of the work, so I'm looking forward to seeing if I can recreate that surreal feel in live action or pay homage to it. Among them, Jyushimatsu, who is always smiling, is the complete opposite of my usual self, so that's something to look out for. I haven't worked with Nishimura Takuya since my debut, so I'm happy to be able to welcome the youngest member of the Kansai family again after a long time. It's an honor and a pressure for us to be able to work on a work that is so important to Snow Man in the second installment, but I'll try to surpass that. I want to create an addictive work that will make you want to go to the cinema again and again. Please come and see Ae! group and Nishimura Takuya in a slightly different way on the big screen.

I will be playing the youngest Todomatsu. I'm Nishimura Takuya. Ae! group and I will be working on the second installment of Mr. Osomatsu with the other six of us. We took over the series from Snow Man, and I'm also excited to be working with Ae! group! As the youngest Todomatsu, I hope to breathe youthful energy into the production! I think there is an atmosphere and expression that only the six of us from Kansai can bring out, so please look forward to the second installment of Mr. Osomatsu!

Congratulations on the second "Mr. Osomatsu" movie! First of all, I'm happy that there's going to be a second movie, and I'm rooting for these six juniors from the same agency to take on the role!
