It has been announced that the TV anime "April Showers Bring May Flowers," based on the manga by Sakakura Roku that was serialized in "Young Ace" (KADOKAWA), will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, MBS, and BS Nippon TV from July 4th. Tasuku Hatanaka will play Shinbashi Tsutomu, a high school boy who is central to his class but is still wary of what others think due to a bitter experience he had in middle school, and Koichi Makoto will play Ueno Yosuke's younger brother Keisuke, who is an elementary school student with judgment skills that rival those of adults. It has also been announced that the band "GLASGOW" will be performing the ending theme "Souvenir."
Hatanaka commented, "To be honest, I could really understand Tabata's feelings, so I was really empathetic when I read the original work. In the process, it made me realize how warm a feeling it is to say, "I love you." So I really like this work."

The story is about a high school girl, Tabata Hana, who is not confident in her appearance and is not popular with the boys. After being seen in an embarrassing state by Ueno Yosuke, a handsome guy at the top of the school caste system, in the classroom early in the morning, she changes and starts interacting with her classmates, and the world around Hana gradually becomes more lively... The original work was serialized in "Young Ace" from April 2016 to September 2022.
The anime will be directed by Mirai Minato, who will also be in charge of series composition. SILVER LINK. will produce the anime. Saori Hayami will play Tabata Hana and Shimba Tsuchiya will play Ueno Yosuke.
