The new fifth-generation members who joined the idol group "Hinatazaka46" in March held a solo performance, "The Fifth Generation Hospitality Party," at the National Yoyogi Stadium First Gymnasium (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo) on May 27. The 10 fresh new members showed off their special skills and entertained fans with a casual fashion show and live performance.
The first performer to show off her special skills was Mizuki Ota, who performed a calligraphy performance in which she wrote the character "Hajime" (beginning) with a giant brush, in reference to the calligraphy she had studied for 10 years. She cutely called out, "The story of the 5th generation has just begun, so please keep watching over us." The letters on the entrance gate for the day were also written by Ota.
Saki Katayama raised the excitement of the venue with a lively cheer dance, followed by Hinano Kuramori who drew the venue into an elegant atmosphere with a Japanese dance, saying with a smile, "I think I was a little too 'elegant'." The fans were entertained by the performance with its varying speeds. Rika Takai, who is a vocalist, sang the Neapolitan folk song "Santa Lucia" in Italian. Her beautiful singing voice caused a roar and a big applause from the venue.
After showing off their special skills, members who could play instruments performed "The Moon and Stars Dancing Midnight" and "JOYFUL LOVE." The instruments played were Katayama on the electric organ, Kuramori on the koto, Izuki Shimoda on the piano, Takai on the violin, and Niko Tsurusaki on the horn. The "unique collaboration" of Japanese and Western instruments was a success without any major mistakes, and Shimoda said with a smile, "Everyone has been practicing hard individually for about a month!"
Afterwards, there was a casual fashion show, followed by the live performance. They also performed the 6th generation song "German Iris", with center Manami Ono saying, "I'm so happy that we were finally able to perform in front of everyone! Sometimes things didn't go well during practice, but we discussed each other's interpretations of the song. I think the time we spent talking helped us grow. I'm glad everyone loves "German Iris" a lot, German!"
During the final MC, Takai held back tears as she commented, "I'm really, really happy to be able to see such a wonderful sea of glow sticks. It will be a memory I'll cherish forever. I'll do my best to keep going at full speed no matter how hard the road ahead is."Sakura Matsuo Sakura added, "I'll keep working hard to grow even more, so that people will say that this hospitality event was the best start, so please continue to support me!"
