Kazuhira and Yoshino Chiaki (Koizumi) went to the river. The topic turned to "mizuskiri," a game where you throw flat stones at the water's surface to make them bounce. Chiaki recalled, "I think it was when I was in middle school, but some guys got excited and said whoever won the game would marry Yoshino. I was like, 'Stop doing childish things like that,' but I was really excited inside."
When Wahei found out that the boy Chiaki had thought was "the best" at the time had won the competition "14 times," he decided to take on the challenge, saying, "Was it 14 times? That's the number of times you'd need to win to qualify to marry Yoshino-san. Shall I try and surpass that?"
"I'm not confident," Wahei said, but he picked a rock that looked good. "Here I go. Watch me," he said, throwing it into the river with all his might, but the rock fell with a loud thud. Chiaki called out to Wahei, "Thank you for your hard work."
Regarding this scene, people on social media commented, "It made me laugh so much - the atmosphere between the two of them is great," "I never thought I'd be so excited about cutting through water. Just get involved!", "Wahei didn't disappoint in the cutting scene," and "He says that choosing the right stone is important when cutting through water, and he gets enthusiastic, asking us to watch as he chooses one, but it's too funny when he can't do it at all and bows his head and says 'thank you for your hard work,'" and it was so cute!
