It has been announced that the " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" new theatrical version of the anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba : Kimetsu no Yaiba" based on the popular manga by Koyoharu Gotouge will be released on July 18th. To commemorate this, a project called "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie : Infinity Castle Arc" will be launched on May 22nd. The project will stream one episode of the TV anime every day on YouTube, and the first episode of "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc", "Cruel", will be streamed from 6pm on May 22nd. After that, it will be streamed every day at 6pm.
It was also announced that a support screening will be held for the revival screening of the animated film "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Mugen Train." The screening will start at 7 pm on May 24th at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) and seven other theaters nationwide.
The story of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is about Tanjiro Kamado, whose family was killed by demons, joining the Demon Slaying Corps to turn his sister Nezuko, who has turned into a demon, back into a human. The original was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. The total number of copies of the comics published is over 150 million.
The TV anime "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc" aired from April to September 2019, and the movie "Mugen Train" released in October 2020 was a huge hit, grossing approximately 40.4 billion yen, the highest grossing movie of all time in Japan. The "Entertainment District Arc" aired from December 2021 to February 2022, the "Swordsmith Village Arc" from April to June 2023, and the "Hashira Training Arc" from May to June 2024. The first chapter of the new movie trilogy "Infinity Castle Arc" will be released on July 18th.
