The eighth episode of the TV anime "Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho," based on the popular fantasy novel by Nakanishi Motoo, titled "Hanayoi Kanzashi (Part 1)," will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations starting May 19th.
It was the spring of 1854 (Kaei 7), and in the Yoshiwara red-light district, rumors were whispered of an ugly demon woman who would appear under the cherry blossoms at night and kill men. Jinya, who received a request from Yotaka, came across the demon, just as the rumors had it, under the cherry trees, clad in rags, with a disfigured, blistered face, and crying out in pain. Jinya slowly drew his sword and killed the demon. Yotaka said that she was a former Yoshiwara prostitute who had been cast out, broken in both body and mind.
"Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho" fantasy that depicts the story of a demon who travels through an incredible 170 years from the Edo period to the Heisei period. The anime will be directed by Kazuya Aiura and produced by Yokohama Animation Lab. It will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons.
