The fifth episode of the original anime "LAZARUS" by director Shinichiro Watanabe, known for the anime "Cowboy Bebop," titled "PRETTY VACANT," will be broadcast on TV Tokyo on May 4th.
Learning that Delta Pharmaceuticals may have been in contact with Skinner, the Lazarus team sneaks into the home of the company's president, Ahmed. However, Ahmed had only been sending the data unilaterally. The Lazarus team instead tries to set a trap for Skinner. If they announce that they have developed a cure for Hapuna, Skinner will definitely come to check it out... Later, a fake presentation is held for all the relevant parties, but it is Lin, the strongest hacker, who shows up to surprise them.
The story is about a team of agents from around the world, Lazarus, who pursue Skinner, a genius scientist who developed a painkiller called Hapuna, which causes death three years after taking it, in order to save humanity.
Mamoru Miyano will play the protagonist Axel, who is imprisoned due to a certain incident but repeatedly escapes, and whose "hobby is escaping from prison." Voice actors include Makoto Furukawa, Maaya Uchida, Yuma Uchida, Manaka Iwami, Megumi Hayashibara Akio Otsuka, and Koichi Yamadera. MAPPA will produce the film.
