It has been announced that "Ribbon no Kishi Missing Pieces" (Rittosha), a collection of hard-to-find and elusive episodes from Osamu Tezuka's manga "Ribbon no Kishi", will be released on June 17th. This is the fourth installment of the "Missing Pieces" series, following "Black Jack", "The Three-Eyed One" and "Phoenix: Nostalgia Chapter". Priced at 6,050 yen.
"Ribbon no Kishi" was serialized in several magazines from 1953 to 1967 and was also made into a TV anime. This book includes the now hard-to-find "Twin Knights (original title: Ribbon no Kishi)" (Suzuki Publishing, Osamu Tezuka Manga Selection Edition), and the elusive "Shojo Friend" version of "Ribbon no Kishi" (Osamu Tezuka, Kitano Hideaki) that has never been made into a comic book.
It also contains a large amount of related materials such as synopses, rough sketches, anime storyboards and cuts, bringing to life the image of "Sapphire that has been lost until now."
