Nippon Television's charity program "24 Hour TV 48 - Love Saves the Earth" was broadcast on August 30 and 31, and it was revealed that the theme for this episode was "Tell Me About You." The program is based on the idea that indifference to others is at the root of problems such as discrimination, poverty, and inequality, and that the world should become a kinder place if people first learn about the problems faced by those around them and their own difficulties in life, and that the program's message is to deliver such a "kinder future" to children.
It was also announced that Gosho Aoyama , known for the popular manga " Detective Conan ", was in charge of the traditional bicycle T-shirt design. The design of the T-shirt was released, depicting the five members of the Detective Boys from " Detective Conan" walking while saying things like, "I heard a rumor about a haunted house!" and "Let's go!" The T-shirt will be available in five colors: yellow, blue, white, pink, and purple, and will be available from July 1st.
Aoyama commented on why he took on the design of the charity T-shirts, "24 Hour TV is a program I've watched since I was a child. I remember it broadcasting original animation featuring characters from Osamu Tezuka." When asked about the thoughts behind this year's design, he said, "What I wanted to convey to children, of course, but also to adults, is that by talking together, we can move through life happily. Life is more fun if you walk through it talking with your friends, rather than shutting yourself away."
On the other hand, regarding the fact that Edogawa Conan is the only one of the five members of the Detective Boys who has no lines, Aoyama explained, "When I draw Detective Conan, I don't have the intention of making it for kids. Children will notice right away if you try to fool them. So I deliberately didn't give Conan any lines and wanted the viewer to imagine what the story would be like." An interview with Aoyama will be aired on the morning information program "DayDay." (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM) on April 25th.
It was also announced that actress Minami Hamabe will be the program's charity partner. Hamabe, who is originally from Ishikawa Prefecture, will be taking on the challenge of a charity project with the hope of helping with the recovery from the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake.
It was also revealed that, following last year, the general hosts will be comedy duo Cream Stew's Shinya Ueda, announcer Shinichi Hatori, and Nippon Television announcer Asami Mizuto.
