The NHK Asadora drama series "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 am and others) will broadcast its fourth week, "What Do We Live For?". In the 19th episode on April 24th...
In the previous episode 18, after a quarrel between Takashi ( Takumi Kitamura) and Chihiro (Motoki Nakazawa), Hiroshi (Yutaka Takenouchi) once again tells them that he doesn't need a successor. He tells them to keep trying until they find out what they want to do for a living. Takashi, who still doesn't know what he wants to be, decides to take the entrance exam for Kochi Daiichi High School. Nobu (Imada) and Takashi each study hard.
Then the day of the entrance exam arrives. As Nobu is being seen off by his family, Tomiko (Nanako Matsushima) suddenly appears. Understanding the situation, Nobu makes up his mind and runs off... and so the story unfolds.
In the 19th episode, Nobu and Taku overcome the mishap and successfully complete the exam. In contrast to Taku's cheerful expression, Nobu has slumped shoulders. Seeing this, Hatako (Noriko Eguchi) and others cheer him up cheerfully. At the Yanai household, Tomiko and Chiyoko (Naho Toda) prepare red rice as a pre-celebration for his passing, which confuses Taku.
Hiroshi tells Takashi, "Just do what you want to do today," so Takashi becomes absorbed in drawing manga. And then, the day of the results announcement finally arrives.
"Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobuyuki (1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas and arrived at "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
