Actor Yuichiro Yamaguchi will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi) for the first time in 22 years, on April 23rd at 1pm. He will be turning 70 next year, and says that rehearsals and performing on stage are good exercise for him.
Yamaguchi, a former member of the Shiki Theatre Company, is known as the "Emperor of the Musical World." He has been in the theater world for many years, but he felt he needed to update his way of thinking to adapt to modern society, so he spent 10 years studying law through a correspondence course at Chuo University's Faculty of Law. Even when he wrote down his own thoughts, he was often criticized by younger teachers and forced to rewrite his reports.
After her parents divorced, she was raised by her mother, but she revealed that she had "five fathers." It was her fourth father who encouraged her to pursue singing.
