The drama series "Ignite" (TBS, Friday 10pm) starring actor Shotaro Mamiya will start on April 18th. It is an entertainment film about a novice lawyer who is full of a sense of justice but makes a lot of money by inciting lawsuits. Ignite means to light a fire.
The production is by the content studio "BABEL LABEL," which includes directors Michihito Fujii of the movie "Seitai" and Hirotoshi Hara of "Return of the Abunai Deka," and Kento Yamaguchi of "Ikusagami." This is the first time they have teamed up with TBS, and it is also their first time participating in a primetime terrestrial drama.
The reckless and righteous rookie lawyer Ryo Uzaki (played by Mamiya) jumps into the "Peace Law Firm," known in the industry as a lawless organization. He ignites the hearts of potential plaintiffs and makes them file lawsuits. This is the story of a "group of lawless people" who use all means to win their cases.
Nakamura Toru plays Kenjiro Todoroki, the representative of Peace Law Firm, Kamishiraishi Moka plays Mari Inoo, the only female lawyer at the firm, and Miyama Ryouki plays lawyer Ryoki Miyama.
Episode 1: After his father dies in an accident, Uzaki Ryo quits his job as a salaryman and passes the bar exam, but is unable to find employment at a law firm.
His mother, Junko (Tomoko Fujita), who runs a bento shop, introduces him to a client, Todoroki, and he is finally able to work as a lawyer. However, the firm he works for thinks that in order to survive in the saturated legal profession, it is good to start a fight.
Uzaki's first case is the silo fall accident that occurred at Yamagami Industries three years ago. Todoroki targets Misaki Saito (Tao Tsuchiya), the wife of the worker who died in the accident, and contacts her with Uzaki, Mari Inoo, and Toma Takaido. However, Uzaki's careless remarks make her the enemy.
Furthermore, when Uzaki finds out that there is something suspicious about the accident, he decides to go to the company to interview the president of Yamagami Industries about what happened at the time. There, Yamagami Industries' legal advisor, Takuma Kiriishi (Mitsuhiro Oikawa), shows up...
