The stage greeting for the completion of V-Cinema Next's " Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger VS King-Ohger ," the 31st film in the "VS Series" featuring a battle between old and new Super Sentai , was held in Tokyo on April 16th, with cast members including Haruhi Iuchi, who plays Bunred/Norimichi Taiya, and Sakai Taisei, who plays Kuwagata Oger/Gira, appearing in their costumes. Regarding his feelings about acting for the first time in a year, Sakai said with a smile, "It was so exciting to meet the King-Ohger members (for filming) for the first time in a long time. (Today) I feel like I've come back after such a long time."
Iuchi commented on his impressions of the completed film premiere, "We filmed it last summer, and it was the first time I'd seen everyone from King-Ohger in a long time, but the atmosphere was completely different from ours." He continued, "It's been a year since we last saw King-Ohger, and Boonboomger is the culmination of a year's work. It includes a lot of playfulness that only Director Kato (Hiroyuki), who has directed both series, so I hope you enjoy it."
Also attending the stage greeting were Yuki Hayama , who plays Bun Boonboomger/ Ishiro , Miu Suzuki, Ryu Saito , who plays Bun Black/Akuse Jo, Satoru Soma Osamu, who plays Bun Orange/Furiki Genba , and Yu Miyazawa , who plays Bun Violet/ Sakito Homura , from " King-Ohger,"and Aoto Watanabe, who plays Tombo Ohger/Yanma Gust, Erica Murakami Yuzuki, who plays Papillon Ohger/Rita Kaniska, and Yoshihisa Hajime, who plays Hachi Ohger/Kaguragi Dybowski, from "King Ohger," as well as director Kato.
Also, in reference to the work, in response to a question about what makes their teams stand out from the other teams, Soma replied, "We get along well," to which Yoshihisa retorted with humor, "Oh! (King-Ohger) gets along pretty well too," which got the audience excited.
Soma shared an episode about their friendship, saying, "On days when filming finished early, we would all go out together or get together to eat meals, so I think we're just as close as anyone else." Watanabe countered with a good story, saying, "It's consideration. We're doing this for a year, so I thought I had to be considerate of those around me," but he reflected, "When we were standing side by side on stage, my sword would hit Himeno, so I wasn't considerate enough (laughing bitterly)."
This work is a collaboration between the Super Sentai series "Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger" (TV Asahi), which aired its final episode in February, and the previous Super Sentai"Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger" (TV Asahi). It will be screened in cinemas for a limited time from May 1st, and the Blu-ray and DVD will be released on October 29th.
