On April 11th, Friday Road Show (Nippon TV, Friday 9pm) will be broadcasting the ninth film in the Detective Conan series, Strategy Strategy Above the Depths(2005), to commemorate the release of the latest "Detective Conan" movie, "Flashback of an Eye."
15 years ago, a cargo ship collided with a huge iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean and sank, killing the captain and one crew member. Time passed, and an architect of the large conglomerate, the Yatsushiro Group, Yatsushiro Shipyards, died in a car accident after suffering a heart attack while driving. Two weeks later, Conan (Takayama Minami) and his friends were invited by Sonoko (Minami Takayama) to join the maiden voyage of the luxury liner Aphrodite, sailing through the Pacific Ocean, and were enjoying an elegant cruise on the ocean.
However, during the game of hide-and-seek, Sonoko is abducted and imprisoned by someone. Thanks to Conan's efforts, Sonoko is found safely, but then a murder occurs. As the investigation gets difficult, Conan stumbles upon the sinking accident from 15 years ago. Furthermore, when Detective Sato (Yuya Atsuko) re-investigates the accident that occurred two weeks ago, suspicious points are found, raising the possibility of murder. What is the truth behind these incidents, and what is the hidden conspiracy aboard the Aphrodite?
Next week on Friday Roadshow on April 18th, the 27th film in the Detective Conan movie series, "The Million Dollar Star" (2024), will be broadcast for the first time uncut and with an extended 25 minutes.
