Anpan:[Character introduction] Go Hara, a young stonemason who lives with the heroine's family Kanata Hosoda makes his first appearance in a morning drama

" Anpan " is the NHK Asadora drama series starring Mio Imada , which will begin airing on March 31st in the first half of the 2025 fiscal year. It is a story of love and courage based on the married couple Takashi Yanase Takashi (1919-2013) and Nobu Komatsu(1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman". There are only five days left until the series starts airing. Here, we will introduce Go Hara, played by Kanata Hosoda.

◇ "Go is not a very talkative guy," but...

Go Hara is an apprentice to Nobu Asada(Yoshida Kotaro), the grandfather of the heroine Asada Nobu (Imada). He is a young stonemason who has great respect for Kamaji. He lives in a room in the Asada household. This is Hosoda's first appearance in a Asadora as Go.

When the appearance was announced in June last year, Hosoda commented, "Gou is by no means a talkative boy. In that sense, he may seem the opposite of the lively Asada family, but he himself has a strong sense of purpose. That's why I will try my best to carefully express the love he has for the Asada family and the emotions he felt at the time. Also, as time passes and he gets older, there are times when his cuteness as a person comes out, so I will do my best to convey all of Gou's charm as a person."

◇What about the drama's script, narration, music, and theme song?

The drama depicts how two nobodys, Nobu Asada and Takashi Yanai(Takumi Kitamura), overcome all sorts of obstacles to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "irreversible justice."

The script is written by Miho Nakazono, known for the TV Asahi series "Doctor X: Surgeon Michiko Daimon." The narrator is NHK announcer Risa Hayashida Risa, and the music is by composer and musician Izutsu Akio. The theme song is a new song by rock band RADWIMPS called "Tamamono."

It will be broadcast on NHK General TV from March 31st, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 a.m. and other channels.
