The final episode of the drama series " Japan's Number One Jerk Salaryman " (Fuji TV, Thursdays at 10pm), starring Shingo Katori , was broadcast on March 20th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 3.9% for households and 2.3% for individuals.
The story is about a TV newsman who is involved in a scandal and finds himself at the brink of collapse, but then decides to run for office in order to change Japan, as he wants to create a better society through raising his children. This is the first time in 11 years that Katori has starred in a Fuji TV drama series.
In episode 11, Ippei (Katori) declares his candidacy for the Oedo ward mayoral election. He engages in a bitter battle with Kuroiwa ( Jun Hashimoto), a member of the House of Representatives who was appointed as the successor by Hasegawa (Sakai Masaaki), and the election becomes extremely chaotic. Will Ippei, who is challenging an absolute authority, have a secret plan to win the election?
