It has been announced that the TV anime "Tensei Akujo no Kuro Rekishi" (The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess), based on the manga by Akiharu Touka currently being serialized in the girls' manga magazine "LaLa" (Hakusensha), will be broadcast in the fall of 2025. The story is a fantasy about the protagonist, Konoha Sato, who is reincarnated as a villain, Iana Magnolia, in the world of her "dark history" (a novel she wrote herself) that she wrote in middle school. The first visual of the work has been released, depicting Iana smiling confidently with the book of her dark history in her hands. It has also been announced that the seven-member dance and vocal group "KID PHENOMENON from EXILE TRIBE" will be in charge of the opening theme.
The first PV was released on YouTube, featuring the lovely Konoha Magnolia, along with Ginoford Dandelion and Sol Nemophila who are protecting Konoha.
The first visual poster will be exhibited at the TV Tokyo and BS11 booths at AnimeJapan 2025, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo) on March 22 and 23. An original anime "Dark History Sublimation Ceremony Sticker" will also be distributed at the booths.
The story is a fantasy in which the protagonist is reincarnated as a villain in the world of a novel that he devoted his life to during middle school. Sato Konoha is writing a fantasy novel (= a dark past) in which the daughter of an earl, Konoha, is loved by a knight. One day, when her mother almost finds out about her dark past, Konoha panics and actually dies in a traffic accident. When she wakes up next, she finds herself reincarnated as Iana, the strongest villain of her imagination, in the world of her dark past that she created. The comic has sold a total of approximately 1.7 million copies.
