It has been revealed that the TV anime "The Darwin Incident", based on the manga by Shun Umezawa, which was also the winner of the Grand Prize at the Manga Taisho 2022, will begin airing in January 2026. A teaser PV depicting Charlie, a human-chimpanzee hybrid, with his high physical abilities, was also released on YouTube. The video also shows an ominous explosion scene, the existence of a mysterious organization, and the figure of Rivera, a man with a suspicious smile. At the end, you can hear Rivera's voice, which sounds terrifying, but the voice actor for Rivera has not been announced. A second teaser visual was also released, depicting Rivera reaching out to Charlie.
