An official statement read, "Hamada began to feel unwell around the end of last year, and after visiting a medical institution, he was advised by a doctor to rest for the time being, and will be taking a break from March 10th."
They continued, "We apologize to all concerned parties and fans for any concern and inconvenience caused, but we ask for your understanding that our top priority is ensuring Hamada's health recovery, and for your continued support of Downtown and Hamada."
Finally, the statement read, "We ask that members of the media refrain from interviewing Hamada or his family."
