It has been announced that the original anime "Turkey!", set in Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture, will be broadcast on Nippon Television, BS Nippon Television, and TV Shinshu from July. The anime features five high school girls from a bowling club, and will feature Hana Hishikawa, Kana Ichinose, Hiyori Iwata, Yuuki Amano, and Ayasa Ito.
The work is an original anime created jointly by Tatsunoko Productions' label "BAKKEN RECORD" and Pony Canyon. The script is written by Hiruta Naomi, who has worked on dramas such as "This is Not Expenseable!" and "In a World Where It's Neither Black nor White, a Panda Smiles.", and character design is handled by Takekawa Airi.
A bus decorated with the characters began operating in Chikuma City on March 8. On the same day, a unveiling ceremony was held in the city, where Mayor Ogawa Shuichi and Hishikawa, who plays the main character Otonashi Mai, appeared.
