TV Asahi announcer Ayaka Hironaka appeared in the final episode (episode 7) of the TV Asahi drama series "Boku no Azatoi Motokano" (Friday 11:15pm, excluding some regions), which aired on March 7th. She talked with her co-stars about whether or not to tell your partner the real reason when you break up with them.
The drama is a new attempt in which the MCs of the popular variety show "What’s Wrong with Being Wily?", Ryota Yamazato and Airi Suzuki, comment on the story and lines from the audience's perspective in the studio as the story progresses. The story depicts the love story of Takumi (played by Joichiro Fujiwara), who still has feelings for his ex-girlfriend whom he dumped impulsively, Mei (played by Shiho Kato), Takumi's cunning ex-girlfriend, and Asahi (played by Maria Tani), who has feelings for Takumi whom she met at work.
In the final episode, Takumi's apartment lease expires, and she asks her boyfriend Asahi to move in with her. Asahi readily accepts, but then reads a letter that Takumi once wrote to Mei, and has a change of heart...
In response to the content of the drama, the topic of "Should you tell them the real reason for the breakup?" came up in the studio. When MC Suzuki said, "I probably wouldn't tell them," Hironaka nodded and said, "I wouldn't tell them either," and said, "After time has passed, all I know now is that it was all stale," drawing laughter from the studio.
Another guest, Naniwa Danshi's Ryusei Onishi, agreed with the two, saying, "I don't think I'll say anything. I don't want to have an unpleasant breakup." Meanwhile, another guest, SixTONES' Yugo Kochi, said, "I think I would say something. I might seriously tell them everything and feel relieved... I might want the other person to tell me the reason for the breakup."
