It has been revealed that Mao Ioki Yamamura of the rock band "flumpool" will appear in the drama series "MADDER: That Incident, I'm the Criminal" (Kantele/Fuji TV, scheduled to air late Thursday nights), starring Mao Nogizaka46 of the idol group "Nogizaka46". He will play a mysterious man who draws the protagonist, played by Ioki, into the world of crime.
This is the second drama project produced by a collaboration between KTV and Fuji TV's video distribution service "FOD." A mystery entertainment story in which genius high school student Nakano Akane (Ioki) meets Kurokawa Yu, a young man believed to be the culprit of a murder case, and a small incident at school leads to an unprecedented serial murder case that shocks Japan. It is an original work by screenwriter "Date-san," who has worked on dramas such as "Unlucky Girl!" (Yomiuri TV).
Kurokawa Yuu, played by Yamamura, is a man who is deeply attracted to Akane (Ioki), a genius high school girl with an IQ of over 78, and is a mysterious man who is thought to be the culprit of a murder case that occurred in the same town. He works as a clerk at Origa Denki Shokai, an electrical appliance store located very close to Seiran Gakuen, a prestigious school with the highest rate of students going on to Tokyo University, and frequently visits the school to replace fluorescent lights and electrical parts. After meeting Kurokawa at the school, Akane becomes drawn into the unknown world of crime.
Yamamura commented, "In playing Kurokawa Yuu, I had to face the inevitable hassles and pain that come with living between people. As I tried to understand Kurokawa's mind, it felt like I was chasing the moon, the closer I got, the further away it seemed. However, I believe that this is the pain and joy of living together with other people. I hope to play Kurokawa in a way that can blow a small hole in the daily conflicts and contradictions that people who watch this drama face."
"MADDER: I'm the culprit" will be broadcast on KTV every Thursday at 12:15 a.m. and on Fuji TV every Thursday at 2:15 a.m. starting from April 10. FOD will be streaming the first episode one week ahead of the first episode broadcast on KTV.
