Fourteen additional cast members have been announced all at once for the original anime "LAZARUS" by director Shinichiro Watanabe , known for the anime "Cowboy Bebop" and others. The cast will include a star-studded cast of voice actors, including Tomokazu Sugita, Shoya Chiba, Daisuke Ono, Neeko, Satoshi Hino Ono, Sumire Uesaka, Satoshi Hino, Sumire Koki Uchiyama, Kensho Ono, Kouki Uchiyama, Kensho Ono, Ayane Sakura, Ayane Sakura, and Yoshiko Sakakibara. The characters each will play will be revealed when the anime airs.
The story is about a team of agents from around the world, Lazarus, who are pursuing Dr. Skinner, a neuroscientist who developed a painkiller called "Hapuna" that causes death three years after taking it, in order to save humanity. Character design will be handled by Akemi Hayashi, known for "BANANA FISH," and the work will be produced by MAPPA.
Mamoru Miyano plays the main character Axel, who is imprisoned due to a certain incident but repeatedly escapes, and whose "hobby is escaping from prison."Makoto Furukawa, Uchida Maaya, Uchida Yuuma, Yuma Uchida, Manaka Iwami, Megumi Hayashibara Akio Otsuka, and Koichi Yamadera will appear as voice actors. The series will be broadcast on TV Tokyo affiliates every Sunday at 11:45 pm from April 6th. There will be a total of 13 episodes.
