The latest film version of Oshiri Tantei, an anime based on Troll's picture book , Oshiri Tantei Detective: Star and Moon (directed by Shibata Hiroki) will be released on March 20th. In the latest film, the great detective Oshiri Tantei Detective and the century's greatest thief, Thief U, will team up in a "miracle team" to thwart a terrible plot. The simultaneous release of the film version of the anime along with the publication of the original books, Oshiri Tantei : Oshiri Tantei and Thief Academy: Moonside (Poplar Publishing), has also been a hot topic. Sanpei Yuuko, who plays Oshiri Tantei, and Takahiro Sakurai, who plays Thief U, shared their thoughts on the film.

--Your latest film, "Oshiri Tantei the Movie," is your third feature-length film.
I'm always looking forward to the Butt Detective Oshiri Tantei, which is a little different from the usual TV version and is packed with unique fun. It's full of volume, mysteries, and lots of action and tricks. I'm always looking forward to reading the script.
-What were your thoughts when you first read the script for this film?
Sanpei-san is always like that, but I was surprised and thought, "Oh, so that's how it is! What? Something like this is happening!?" Furthermore, this time, more than ever, things that had not been revealed before were revealed, which was a truly new development.
-- In this work, you team up with your eternal rival, Kaitou U, and the two of you temporarily cooperate with each other. How was your first time teaming up?
Sanpei: It's because they know each other so well, and they care about each other, that they can sense what the other person's next move will be, even without them saying anything! It's because of the relationship they have built up until now.
--Please tell us what the highlights of this film are.
The highlight of Sanpei Butt Oshiri Tantei is his idol look. But really, everything is worth seeing. The stars and the moon, above ground and underground. Allies and enemies. Detectives, phantom thieves, and idols! There's so much to see that you might not be able to see it all in one viewing! Be careful not to miss anything, as there's so much to see. Look for his butt too.
--When you were acting as Butt Oshiri Tantei, disguised as an idol group, did you change your acting style from usual? Also, were there any idols or singers that you used as reference when creating the image?
When I saw Sanpei-san's Pretty's outfit, I was reminded of Hikaru Genji. However, the team name is Pretty, and the song and the atmosphere of the three of us are unique, so we didn't change the way we acted. We always try to be confident. Oshiri Tantei Detective's heart is unfathomable.

Sakurai: I think the best thing about the movie version is that you can experience a story on a larger scale than the TV version. I was able to enjoy the gripping developments that only a feature-length film can provide. I was happy to be able to appear in it.
-What were your thoughts when you first read the script for this film?
I was excited to see so many members of Sakurai's Kaito Academy. It was funny and cool to see all the unique characters running wild on the screen. Keep an eye out for Kaito U, who also plays a major role.
