Tower Records Shinjuku, known for its extensive selection of anime songs, is in charge of anime buyer Higuchi Sho, who reports on best-selling anime songs and the voices of the sales floor on "Shinjuku Anime Song Scope." The number one song on the store's list from January 19th to 26th was the CD series "THE IDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS ECHOES 01" from the smartphone game "The Idolmaster Shiny Colors (Shinimasu)."

The top-ranked "THE IDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS ECHOES 01" was postponed from its original May 2024 release date and was released on January 22nd. It contains three songs sung by the three-member idol group "Illumination Stars" and a drama part. "THE IDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS ECHOES 09," part of the same CD series released at the same time, also ranked 7th.
Coming in at third place is the third album "Shinsei Mokuroku" by Hoshimachi Suisei, a member of the popular VTuber group "HoloLive." With the theme of "each revolution," the album includes existing songs such as "Vividiva" and "Moonlight," as well as ambitious new songs such as "AWAKE," written by Giga & TeddyLoid, the duo who worked on singer Ado's "Odoru."
Coming in at number 4 was the debut single "Ai Scream!" by AiScReam, a unit consisting of Ruby Kurosawa, Ayumu Uehara, and Shiki Wakana from the "Love Live!" series.

Higuchi Sho is a buyer in charge of anime at Tower Records Shinjuku store, 7th floor (Japanese music/sales promotion). He was transferred from the Machida store in 2014. He got into anime because of 1990s works such as "Neon Genesis Evangelion", "BLUE SEED", and "VS Knight Ramune & 40 Flame", and among anime songs, he loves listening to character songs, especially songs related to idol anime. His favorite anthem is "Up! 10sion Pleeeeeeeeease!" from "The Idolmaster Million Live!". His favorite anime and games include "Pretty Rhythm", "The Idolmaster", "Photo Kano", and "Sakura Wars".
