It has been revealed that the first episode (broadcast on January 19th) of the Sunday Theatre drama " Mikami Sensei " (TBS, Sunday 9pm), starring actor Tori Matsuzaka, has been viewed over 3 million times on "TVer" (according to Video Research, measurement period: January 19th-25th).
The drama is an original "great reversal story of education revival" in which Takashi Mikami (played by Matsuzaka), a bureaucrat in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, who wants to change the Japanese education system, takes to the podium at a private high school and stands up to authority while guiding 18-year-old high school students living in the Reiwa era.
In the first episode, Takashi Mikami (Matsuzaka), a bureaucrat from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, stands at the podium of class 2, third year, at Rintoku Gakuin. The class begins in front of 29 students. The students face each other with their own thoughts. A question posed by Mikami creates ripples that motivate the students... and so the story unfolds.
