"Shinjuku Anime Song Scope" is a website where anime buyer Higuchi Sho from Tower Records Shinjuku, known for its extensive selection of anime songs, reports on best-selling anime songs and the voices of the sales floor. The number one song at the store from January 12th to 19th was "KiLLKiSS," the second single by Ave Mujica, a band from the popular anime and game series "BanG Dream!".
◇Last week's results
Ave Mujica is a band whose identity was revealed in the TV anime "BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!," which aired from June to September 2023, and became a hot topic. The TV anime "BanG Dream! Ave Mujica" began airing in January of this year, and their second single, which included the opening theme "KiLLKiSS" and the ending theme "Georgette Me, Georgette You," won first place in the rankings.
Coming in at No. 6 is the first album by Fubuki Shirakami, a member of the popular VTuber group Hololive, titled "FBKINGDOM "Blessing"". Based on the concept of "FBKINGDOM", the album includes 5 existing songs such as "Say! Fanfare!", as well as 9 new songs.
In 7th place is the first single by Yume Hanaumi, "Yume Hanaumi 1st Single 'The Rolling Riceball'," which appears in the completely new smartphone app "Gakuen Idolmaster," a part of the popular "Idolmaster (Idolmaster)" series. In addition, Yume Hanaumi's older sister Saki Hanaumi's first single "Saki Hanaumi 1st Single 'Fighting My Way'," released in August 2024, also ranked 8th.
Coming in at 10th place is Liella!'s song "The Beginning is Your Sky ~11 Ver.~," an insert song from episode 12 of the third season of the TV anime "Love Live! Superstar!!" making its first appearance.

We are focusing on Hololive's Hoshimachi Suisei's third album "Shinsei Mokuroku," the fourth album in the "THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA MASTER jewelries!" album series for the popular game "The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls (Deremas)," "THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA MASTER Passion jewelries! 004," and the CD series "THE IDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS ECHOES 01" for the smartphone game "The Idolmaster Shiny Colors (Shinimasu)," whose release has been postponed.

Higuchi Sho is a buyer in charge of anime at Tower Records Shinjuku store, 7th floor (Japanese music/sales promotion). He was transferred from the Machida store in 2014. He got into anime because of 1990s works such as "Neon Genesis Evangelion", "BLUE SEED", and "VS Knight Ramune & 40 Flame", and among anime songs, he loves listening to character songs, especially songs related to idol anime. His favorite anthem is "Up! 10sion Pleeeeeeeeease!" from "The Idolmaster Million Live!". His favorite anime and games include "Pretty Rhythm", "The Idolmaster", "Photo Kano", and "Sakura Wars".
