Gurunavi began offering a beta version of its new restaurant search app "UMAME!", which uses generative AI, on January 20. The app is compatible with iOS and is free to use.
"UMAME!" is an app that uses generative AI technology and Gurunavi's vast data to make restaurant suggestions personalized to the user's dining out needs. It supports text and voice input, and allows searches based on mood and nuances in everyday conversation, and also supports online reservations. It also has a function to search for restaurants by their cuisine and atmosphere using image files. It covers approximately 420,000 restaurants listed on "Rakuten Gurunavi".
After this beta version, the official release is planned for this summer, with plans to add features for recording and sharing dining experiences and multi-language support.
